We, Rose Dale and Laura Heybrook, are sisters who have been designing gardens and landscapes for almost 20 years. Each project is unique. Based in Oxford, we work with our clients to create atmospheric, enduring and individual gardens that sit beautifully within their settings.
We have extensive knowledge and experience of designing all elements of a garden, from the hard-landscaping to the planting. We have worked on a wide range of projects for both private and commercial clients encompassing hotels, listed buildings, new commercial sites and many private residences across the UK and abroad. Thus, we produce imaginative and thoughtful gardens that are not only beautiful and but also practical.
Whilst we like our gardens to look effortless and uncontrived, we pay careful attention to detail and design and carefully monitor its execution.
Our plant knowledge, derived from years of poring over and experimenting with plants, means that plants are used where they will thrive and look wonderful.
The design of the hard landscaping and planting varies depending on what is right the project. It may be architectural, flowery, naturalistic, formal, luxuriant or minimal.
We use hand-drawn plans to illustrate our ideas to clients and to communicate with contractors with the maximum flexibility. We regularly work in collaboration with architects and other specialists. We strive to achieve the highest quality of construction and landscaping and often revisit our projects over the years to ensure the continued success of each one.
We believe that gardens are an important part of our environment, they can greatly enhance biodiversity and quality of life for those that spend time in them. In addition to wildlife- friendly design and maintenance of our gardens, we are committed to creating our gardens in a way that is as little damaging to our beautiful planet as possible. We personally design and realise all projects, so that each project can be carefully considered and monitored to ensure the best results. We are proud that nearly all our work is through personal recommendation.
